Sindh Po­lice hold shop­keeper sell­ing ‘Om’ shoes: Dr. Ramesh

KARACHI—Pa­tron-in-chief of Pak­istan Hindu Coun­cil and Mem­ber of Na­tional As­sem­bly Dr. Ramesh Ku­mar Vankwani has said that in re­sponse of the Coun­cil’s plea, Sang­har Po­lice tak­ing im­me­di­ate ac­tion against the shop­keeper sell­ing “Om” shoes in Tando Adam ar­rested him that had the po­ten­tial to in­flame re­li­gious sen­ti­ments of Hindu com­mu­nity across the coun­try and on in­ter­na­tional level as well

Talk­ing to a Hindu del­e­ga­tion, led by En­gi­neer Hotc­hand Kar­mani which called on him here on Mon­day, Dr. Ramesh Ku­mar Vankwani said that the in­ci­dent of OM shoes has raised a new wave of peace­ful ac­tivism by all stake­hold­ers of civil so­ci­ety across the coun­try who not only con­demn the act of sell­ing such con­tro­ver­sial shoes.—Agen­cies
