Ex-PSC head pro­duced in court

QUETTA—For­mer chair­man, Pub­lic Ser­vice Com­mis­sion, Ashraf Magsi and two di­rec­tors of the com­mis­sion were pro­duced be­fore the Ac­count­abil­ity Court here on Tues­day.

The court di­rected NAB of­fi­cials to bring wit­nesses on next hear­ing. Ear­lier, the Ac­count­abil­ity Court had im­posed charge sheet against for­mer chair­man, Pub­lic Ser­vice Com­mis­sion Balochis­tan, Muham­mad Ashraf Magsi and two exdi­rec­tors of the Com­mis­sion for mint­ing money through il­le­gal re­cruit­ments against posts of Grade-17 and above and ir­reg­u­lar­i­ties.

The Na­tional Ac­count­abil­ity Bureau (NAB) Balochis­tan of­fi­cials pre­sented, Ashraf Magsi and two ex-di­rec­tors of PSC Balochis­tan in­clud­ing Wahid-ru-Rehman and Niaz Kakar be­fore the Ac­count­abil­ity Court. The Judge, Ab­dul Ma­jeed Nasar con­ducted hear­ing into the cor­rup­tion case. “The Court di­rected NAB of­fi­cials to bring wit­nesses on the case on next hear­ing”.

The Court set June 30, the date for next hear­ing of the case. He was also ac­cused re­cruit­ing his close rel­a­tive against a post of Grade-17. Later, af­ter the in­quiry, his two daugh­ters were ter­mi­nated.—APP
