Ex-PSC head produced in court
QUETTA—Former chairman, Public Service Commission, Ashraf Magsi and two directors of the commission were produced before the Accountability Court here on Tuesday.
The court directed NAB officials to bring witnesses on next hearing. Earlier, the Accountability Court had imposed charge sheet against former chairman, Public Service Commission Balochistan, Muhammad Ashraf Magsi and two exdirectors of the Commission for minting money through illegal recruitments against posts of Grade-17 and above and irregularities.
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Balochistan officials presented, Ashraf Magsi and two ex-directors of PSC Balochistan including Wahid-ru-Rehman and Niaz Kakar before the Accountability Court. The Judge, Abdul Majeed Nasar conducted hearing into the corruption case. “The Court directed NAB officials to bring witnesses on the case on next hearing”.
The Court set June 30, the date for next hearing of the case. He was also accused recruiting his close relative against a post of Grade-17. Later, after the inquiry, his two daughters were terminated.—APP
