Equal fa­cil­i­ties

LA­HORE— Provin­cial Min­is­ter for Hu­man Rights and Mi­nor­ity Affairs Khalil Tahir Sandhu has said that pro­vi­sion of equal ba­sic fa­cil­i­ties to ev­ery cit­i­zen is the pri­or­ity of the gov­ern­ment. Talk­ing to a del­e­ga­tion of NGOs from south­ern Pun­jab, he said that poverty and il­lit­er­acy can only be re­moved if each home is en­light­ened with ed­u­ca­tion. He said that Chief Min­is­ter Muham­mad She­hbaz Sharif took rev­o­lu­tion­ary steps for the de­vel­op­ment of far flung ar­eas of south­ern Pun­jab. He said that 50 per­cent quota for the lap­top dis­tri­bu­tion has been al­lo­cated to the stu­dents of south be­sides the schol­ar­ships from class 6th to class 10th. He said that a num­ber of projects of health and ed­u­ca­tion sec­tors have been started in south­ern Pun­jab so that ba­sic fa­cil­i­ties can be pro­vided to the peo­ple.—APP
