16 year of ignorance

Pakistan Observer - - OPINION -

YUSRA RIAZ The largest Aquarium of Karachi was in the Bin-Qasim Park, which is now shut for past 16 years due to lack of attention and funds. However, the former government raised funds to fix the aquarium, but could not divert the requisite funding of Rs 100 million, from the budget otherwise totally misappropriated for the personal gains and pockets of the corrupt rulers.

The abandoned building shows the lacking priorities of our government. The park that used to be green, is now nothing but a puddle of sand. Will the government be considerate a bit take notice of it and spare some money for the rehabilitation of the aquarium and the deserted Park? Nowadays, where there’s already no place to relax, at least people can go to Parks to enjoy some of their time. — Karachi
