Owais had dis­ap­peared from a posh shop­ping cen­tre in Clifton, while his car was found parked in the area from where he was whisked away by four armed men, wear­ing shal­war and Kameez, eye wit­nesses re­ported, Ac­cord­ing to DSP, In­ves­ti­ga­tion Unit, Ab­dul Rashid , the car No. SP- 0585 in which Owais was driven away to un­known des­ti­na­tion, was found aban­doned at the Manghopir area of North­ern byepass..

Re­ports said that po­lice had been work­ing on footage re­ceived from 18 dif­fer­ent cam­eras fixed around Schon Cir­cle and pe­riph­ery, while Rangers had searched ar­eas like Orangi Town­ship, Gadap, Li­aquatabad, Kea­mari, Ko­rangi, Clifton and Jamshed Town, ar­rest­ing sus­pects and re­cov­erign arms and am­mu­ni­ton in the process. Their de­tails were not given .

Ad­di­tional IG Sanaullah Ab­basi, and DG Rangers had vis­ited the spot from where Owais was picked up, but till Mon­day If­tar time, noth­ing tan­gi­ble had been said about the progress of the sad ici­dent.The comb­ing op­er­a­tion was con­tiu­ing in all its se­ri­ous­ness.

Mean­while, an eight-mem­ber in­ves­ti­ga­tion com­mit­tee of po­lice was formed on Tues­day to probe into the ab­duc­tion of Owais Sa­j­jad Shah.

Deputy Su­per­in­ten­dent of Po­lice Rasheed said car that whisked Owais Shah away from shop­ping mall was seen last time at Tipu Sul­tan Road. He also re­vealed that 20 to 25 sus­pects have also been taken into cus­tody for fur­ther in­ter­ro­ga­tion. Mo­bile data of SHC CJ’s son has also been taken.

Two eye wit­nesses have recorded their state­ments in this re­gard ac­cord­ing to which, four masked armed men got down from a white colour car and al­legedly took Owais with them.

The case will be lodged af­ter the iden­ti­fi­ca­tion of the sus­pects.
