In­dia forces Pan­dits to sell lands, live in colonies

SRI­NA­GAR —Kash­miri Pan­dits have com­plained that the In­dian author­i­ties are forc­ing them to sell their land and live in sep­a­rate colonies, planned by the gov­ern­ment of In­dia and its lo­cal col­lab­o­ra­tors for mi­grant Pan­dits in the ter­ri­tory.

Pro­fes­sor Ashok Ku­mar Pan­dit, a re­tired pro­fes­sor of En­vi­ron­men­tal Sci­ences — like sev­eral of his fel­lows — is op­pos­ing es­tab­lish­ment of colonies for the mi­grant Pan­dits in Pul­wama.—KMS
