CM’s Ad­vi­sor vis­its mar­kets to check prices of ed­i­bles

KARACHI—Co­or­di­na­tor to Chief Min­is­ter Sindh for Hu­man Rights Ms. Na­dia Gabol Tues­day paid a sur­prise visit to the city’s dif­fer­ent food mar­kets, bazaars and checked qual­ity, price and sup­ply of edi­ble items as per gov­ern­ment’s ap­proved rates for the Holy month of Ramzan.

Ms Na­dia Gabol, ac­com­pa­nied with As­sis­tant Com­mis­sioner Lyari UbaidUl­lah vis­ited dif­fer­ent mar­kets of Karachi Dis­trict South such as Lee mar­ket, Kumhar­wara, Bakra Peeri & oth­ers and per­son­ally spoke to the shop­keep­ers and con­sumers about price and qual­ity of daily use items on gov­ern­ment de­fined rates dur­ing Ra­mazan. On the oc­ca­sion sev­eral shop­keep­ers and fruit ven­dors were warned not to over­charge on ed­i­bles items dur­ing Ramzan oth­er­wise strict ac­tion would be taken by the gov­ern­ment.

She ex­plained that Sindh gov­ern­ment kept strict and vig­i­lant eyes on price of es­sen­tial com­modi­ties es­pe­cially for the month of Ramzan in or­der to pro­vide re­lief to the peo­ple.—APP
