Corps Com­man­der in­quires af­ter Health of Edhi

KARACHI—Karachi Corps Com­man­der Lieu­tenant Gen­eral Naveed Mukhtar vis­ited Ab­dul Sat­tar Edhi at Sindh In­sti­tute of Urol­ogy and Trans­plan­ta­tion (SIUT) on Tues­day to in­quire about his health.

The meet­ing comes three days af­ter the For­eign Of­fice in­ad­ver­tently is­sued a con­do­lence mes­sage “on the demise” of the phi­lan­thropist, be­fore re­tract-ing the state­ment.

Lt Gen Mukhtar said Edhi is the pride of the na­tion and is the name of hu­man­ity and com­pas­sion.

Edhi has proved that with per­se­ver­ance, all good deeds could be per­formed de­spite hin­drances, the Corps Com­man­der added.
