Wa­ter sup­ply to sev­eral city areas to re­main sus­pended on June 25-26

RAWALPINDI—Wa­ter sup­ply to sev­eral areas of the city will re­main sus­pended on June 25 and 26, Wa­ter and San­i­ta­tion Agency (WASA) an­nounced here on Wed­nes­day.

The areas which would be af­fected due to sus­pen­sion of wa­ter sup­ply are Waris Khan, Col­lege Road, Chitti Hat­tian, Jhangi Mo­halla, Kar­tarpura, Ko­hati Bazaar, Bagh Sar­daran, Akal­garh, Mo­han­pura, Dhoke Matkal, Arya Mo­halla, Mil­lat Colony, Dhoke Khabba, Union Coun­cil-34, UC-35 and other areas due to re­pair work on main pipeline, the WASA press re­lease said.

There­fore, it would be im­pos­si­ble for WASA to pro­vide wa­ter to the res­i­dents on Satur­day and Sun­day. How­ever, wa­ter sup­ply to other city areas would con­tinue as usual. Manag­ing Di­rec­tor WASA, Raja Shoukat Mah­mood has ap­pealed to the res­i­dents to store wa­ter to avoid any in­con­ve­nience.

WASA has also made spe­cial ar­range­ments to sup­ply wa­ter to any of the above mentioned areas through wa­ter tankers, the re­lease mentioned.—APP
