Water supply to several city areas to remain suspended on June 25-26
RAWALPINDI—Water supply to several areas of the city will remain suspended on June 25 and 26, Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) announced here on Wednesday.
The areas which would be affected due to suspension of water supply are Waris Khan, College Road, Chitti Hattian, Jhangi Mohalla, Kartarpura, Kohati Bazaar, Bagh Sardaran, Akalgarh, Mohanpura, Dhoke Matkal, Arya Mohalla, Millat Colony, Dhoke Khabba, Union Council-34, UC-35 and other areas due to repair work on main pipeline, the WASA press release said.
Therefore, it would be impossible for WASA to provide water to the residents on Saturday and Sunday. However, water supply to other city areas would continue as usual. Managing Director WASA, Raja Shoukat Mahmood has appealed to the residents to store water to avoid any inconvenience.
WASA has also made special arrangements to supply water to any of the above mentioned areas through water tankers, the release mentioned.—APP
