PAL of­fers spe­cial dis­count on its pub­li­ca­tions

ISLAMABAD—Pak­istan Academy of Let­ters (PAL) of­fered var­i­ous ranges of spe­cial dis­count on its pub­li­ca­tions, in or­der to en­sure pub­lic ac­cess to PAL’s pub­li­ca­tions.

This spe­cial dis­count would at­tract a large num­ber of read­ers to pur­chase books, an of­fi­cial of the PAL told APP.

Books on var­i­ous sub­jects in­clud­ing sci­ence, lit­er­a­ture, his­tory, lan­guages, novel, short sto­ries and mag­a­zines are avail­able at PAL book­shop on dis­count prices, he said.

Pub­li­ca­tions of other learned bod­ies and lead­ing pub­lish­ers of the coun­try are also avail­able on dis­counted rates at the book­shop, he said.

“Faiz Ahmed Faiz Li­brary at Academy will also re­main open on week­end to fa­cil­i­tate book read­ers and re­searchers,” he said.

He said that “Faiz Li­brary” housed around 70,000 vol­umes of 30,000 books on dif­fer­ent top­ics, in­clud­ing lit­er­a­ture, his­tory, phi­los­o­phy, sci­ence etc. in Urdu, Pashtu, Sindhi, Balochi, Pun­jabi, Hindko and other re­gional lan­guages, be­sides for­eign lan­guages in­clud­ing English.—APP
