Po­lio free Pun­jab

LAHORE— Ad­vi­sor to Chief Min­is­ter Pun­jab on Health Khawaja Sal­man Rafique directed the EDOs Health of all dis­tricts to keep a close eye on EPI and rou­tine im­mu­niza­tion cov­er­age for en­sur­ing po­lio free prov­ince. He ex­pressed these re­marks while pre­sid­ing over a meet­ing to re­view the rou­tine im­mu­niza­tion cov­er­age and po­lio sit­u­a­tion in Pun­jab, here at Civil Sec­re­tariat. Sal­man Rafique said that EDOs health should work with more dili­gently and vig­or­ously. He said that cov­er­age tar­gets should hun­dred per­cent be achieved dur­ing the po­lio cam­paign. He added that Pun­jab was cur­rently po­lio free prov­ince due to bet­ter mi­cro plan­ning and hard work­ing of the Health depart­ment of­fi­cers and po­lio teams. He also stressed the need to mon­i­tor po­lio teams.—APP
