Attack on Kelaash girl

Pakistan Observer - - OPINION - HINA DEEDAR

The attack on a Kelaash girl, to force her to embrace Islam, was certainly a shameful and regrettable act. We need to understand the essence of Islam. Islam gives the message of peace but not of violence or war. Islam does not teach its followers to forcibly convert others into Islam. By doing such displeasing and immoral act we are just portraying a negative image of Islam in front of the world.

Our Prophet has also taught us to respect other religions. But it seems as if we have forgotten all the teaching and sayings of our Prophet (PBUH). Even having feelings of hatred for other people gives way to an unfriendly and unpleasant environment. We should learn to respect other religions. — Karachi
