Ad­min­is­tra­tor di­rects con­cerned to be alert to cope heavy rain

RAWALPINDI—Ad­min­is­tra­tor Rawal Town Nazia Parveen Sud­han has directed all con­cerned to be fully alert dur­ing the ex­pected heavy rain in the com­ing days for any emerg­ing sit­u­a­tion.

Chair­ing a meet­ing to re­view anti-dengue ar­range­ments here on Thurs­day, she said anti-dengue ac­tiv­i­ties should be ex­pe­dited keep­ing in view weather and pre­vail­ing en­vi­ron­ment.

She directed the con­cerned that sur­veil­lance ac­tiv­i­ties or trac­ing larva and its erad­i­ca­tion be fur­ther ex­pe­dited be­sides fo­cus­ing on hotspots where from dengue cases are be­ing re­ported.

She directed that check­ing and sur­veil­lance of com­mer­cial plazas, ho­tels, restau­rants, hos­pi­tals, schools and col­leges, junk­yards, grave­yards, un­der con­struc­tion sites, parks, open plots, aban­doned sites, petrol pumps and all other spots be en­sured.—APP
