Qan­deel Baloch ex­tends apol­ogy over self­ies, claims Mufti Qawi

KARACHI—Mufti Ab­dul Qawi has claimed that so-called so­cial me­dia sen­sa­tion Qan­deel Baloch has ex­tended apol­ogy to him over video and self­ies scan­dal.

Mufti Qawi said, “Qan­deel Balochi tele­phoned me last night and apol­o­gized over selfie and video is­sue and said what­ever hap­pened it was un­for­tu­nate.”

Mean­while, Qan­deel Baloch has re­futed Mufti’s claim, say­ing she wanted to talk Mufti Qawi in de­tail but he did not pick my phone call.

Qan­deel Baloch on Mon­day took in­ter­net by storm as she shared a cou­ple of self­ies of her­self with Mufti Ab­dul Qawi be­fore ridi­cul­ing the cleric on dif­fer­ent TV chan­nels.

Fed­eral Min­is­ter for Re­li­gious Af­fairs and In­ter­faith Har­mony Sar­dar Muham­mad Yousaf sus­pended the Ruet-e-Hi­lal Com­mit­tee’s mem­ber­ship of Mufti Qawi af­ter ap­pear­ing his self­ies with model girl Qan­deel Baloch on so­cial me­dia.
