Politics in Pakistan

Pakistan Observer - - OPINION - ARSALAN THAHIM

Raising voice for the rights is basic right of every citizen in Pakistan. Today this right has been raised through Politics of Dharnas in this sorry state of affairs of this country. PTI protested last year in the capital city for allegedly blaming current government’s involvement in rigging May 2013 elections. It finally accepted results when Supreme Court of Pakistan announced that overall results of 2013 elections were fair. Now Panama legal firm Mossac Fonesca gave another silver line behind dark cloud to PTI and other opposition parties to give another challenging time to government.

Do all combined political parties’ leaders don’t have their names in Panama offshore companies. So why to become a stumbling block that PM Nawaz Sharif be investigated first. Let this country progress economically. Do protest for providing basic rights like health, education and security first. Start campaigning against ghost employees, nepotism and corruption. It’s time to lead country by improving economy and promoting good geopolitical relations with neighbouring countries. —Shikarpur
