Swat ex­press­way construction soon

SWAT—Ad­vi­sor to Chief Min­is­ter for Live­stock Muhe­bul­lah Khan Satur­day said that construction work on Swat Ex­press Way with the cost of Rs.28 bil­lion will com­mence soon.

This he said while talk­ing to a del­e­ga­tion from Swat, he said that the 81 kilo­me­ter long Ex­press Way would be com­pleted with the cost of Rs.28 bil­lion and 30 crore and will be com­pleted under two phases in three years.

He said that the project will be proved as mile-stone of this province. He said that the project will save time of two hours from Kar­nal Sher in­ter-change to Chak­dara be­cause the Ex­press Way by-pass­ing Rashkai, Mar­dan Takhtb­hai, Jalala, Sherghar Sakhakoat, Dar­gai and ButKhella but will cross from Now­shera, Swabi, Mar­dan and Malakand dis­tricts.

He dis­closed that in a project Asain De­velop-ment Bank, Korea, Ja­pan and other for­eign fi­nan­cial in­sti­tu­tions show­ing their in­ter­est under pub­lic pri­vate part­ner­ship. He said that the Chief Min­is­ter Khy­ber Pakhtunkhwa ap­proved Rs.2 bil­lion and 30 crore for the project.—APP
