Po­lice ar­rested mem­ber of a po­lit­i­cal party from Sur­jani town Sat­ur­day in con­nec­tion with the mur­der of sufi mu­si­cian Amad Sabri, and took into cus­tody of the de­ceased fam­ily ser­vant Saleem Chand for in­ter­ro­ga­tion.

Au­thor­i­ties claimed to have suc­ceeded in se­cur­ing vi­tal in­for­ma­tion from the ar­rested per­son. It said the Saleem was in the car with Sabri at the time of the in­ci­dent, but had been main­tain­ing an in­dis­creet si­lence. It fi­nally took him to cus­tody Sat­ur­day for ques­tion­ing. If he gives a state­ment, he may be re­leased, oth­er­wise kept in fur­ther cus­tody till he re­veals as to what had hap­pened on the day of tragic in­ci­dent.Mean­while po­lice also ar­rested three more per­sons in raids in dif­fer­ent ar­eas.
