IESCO dis­con­nects power sup­ply to de­fault­ers

IS­LAM­ABAD—The Is­lam­abad Elec­tric Sup­ply Com­pany (IESCO) has started drive against de­fault­ers or­ga­ni­za­tions in its cir­cles and dis­con­nected power sup­ply to var­i­ous or­ga­ni­za­tions for not clear­ing out­stand­ing dues.

The IESCO Spokesman told APP here that in Is­lam­abad Cir­cle, power sup­ply was dis­con­nected to the of­fices of Chief Com­mis­sioner and In­spec­tor Gen­eral of Po­lice and Cap­i­tal De­vel­op­ment for not pay­ment of bills.

He said that in Rawalpindi Cir­cle, power sup­ply to Project Direc­tor Of­fice NVIC, ad­min­is­tra­tor of­fices of lo­cal gov­ern­ment, wa­ter sup­ply scheme and PWD of­fices was also sus­pended for not clear­ing out­stand­ing li­a­bil­i­ties.

Sim­i­larly, in Attock Cir­cle, power sup­ply to Pun­jab Small dam, Pun­jab Po­lice and oth­ers of­fices was cut off for non pay­ment.

He said that power sup­ply would be re­stored af­ter clear­ing bills. Mean­while, IESCO chief Dr Ab­dul Jab­bar said that the com­pany would con­tinue oper­a­tion against the de­fault­ers across the board.—APP
