Govt leaders and VIPs make a bee-line for Sabri’s house
KARACHI—Government leaders, and VIPs continued to visit the Liaquatabad residence of slained sufi musician Amjad Sabri for the third consecutive day Saturday.
The latest to visit was Senior Minister for Education &Literacy Nisar Ahmed Khuhro who was accompanied by Advisor to Chief Minister Sindh on Information & Archives, Maula Bux Chandio, Special assistant to CM Sindh Rashid Rabbani, and MNA Nafisa Shah to offer condolences to the bereaved family.
An official handout said they met the mother and brother of Amjad Sabri, who was gunned down in Karachi on Wednesday. they expressed their profound grief and said in a joint statement that his extraordinary contribution towards the art of Qawwali and Sufism made him a national treasure. Moula bax chandio stated that the services of the deceased would long be remembered. They assured the family members that the killers would be brought to book and that every possible step is being taken in this regard. they further said that we have order to investigation agencies on priority basics to arrest the culprit who are involved in such untoward incident. Chandio added in this occasion that we deprived from a famous Qawwal who was the identification of Pakistan. Chandio also said that we his services and we would never forget him because he dwell in heart of people On the burial day and later Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, opposition leader in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah, provincial home minister Anwar Sial, IG Sindh A D Khawaja, the mayor-designate for Karachi Waseem Akhtar and quite a few othr VIPs had been to his house to sympathise with the family of the deceased.
