LEAs won’t let Sabri’s mur­der­ers go un­pun­ished

Act­ing Pres­i­dent Mian Raza Rab­bani eu­lo­gizes Sabri, Edhi’s ser­vices

KARACHI—Act­ing Pres­i­dent Mian Raza Rab­bani , while eu­lo­giz­ing ser­vices of late Am­jed Sabri has said that Am­jed Sabri’s art and legacy is like a bird that can not be caged and can’t be shut inside a grave. Act­ing Pres­i­dent said that late Am­jed Sabri through his tal­ent, ded­i­ca­tion and love spread the name of Is­lam all over the world.

The act­ing Pres­i­dent vis­ited res­i­dence of late Am­jed Sabri on Sun­day in Karachi. He con­demned the bru­tal killing of Am­jed Sabri and termed it a great loss.

Act­ing Pres­i­dent speak­ing to me­dia af­ter con­dol­ing with the mother and brother of slain Qawal Am­jed Sabri nar­rated a tale about a Sheikh (saint) who was sit­ting his room when sud­denly a bird en­tered from some­where who couldn’t find a way out. As the Sheikh was watch­ing the bird help­less, he clapped his hands and guided the bird to exit. Sim­i­larly Am­jed guided peo­ple and showed them the cor­rect path through his Qawali and earned world­wide recog­ni­tion.

“Huge pres­ence of masses on his fu­neral and the fact that the whole Pak­istani na­tion is mourn­ing and shed­ding tears is a tight slap on the faces of those forces who be­lieve that they could dis­turb the struc­ture of the state by spread­ing ter­ror­ism” Mian Raza Rab­bani stated while con­demn­ing the bru­tal act.

Act­ing Pres­i­dent, how­ever, said that spirit of Pak­istani na­tion is high and ev­ery Pak­istani would de­fend his re­li­gion and his coun­try fur­ther adding that both fed­eral and pro­vin­cial law en­force­ment agen­cies would not let the mur­der­ers of Am­jed Sabri go un­pun­ished.

The act­ing Pres­i­dent also of­fered fateha for the de­parted soul and ex­pressed his sin­cere con­do­lences to the be­reaved fam­ily.

The Act­ing Pres­i­dent also vis­ited res­i­dence of Ab­dul Sat­tar Edhi in Karachi to in­quire about the health of renowned so­cial worker Ab­dul Sat­tar Edhi.

He di­rected the au­thor­i­ties to pro­vide max­i­mum fa­cil­i­ties for treat­ment of Ab­dul Sat­tar Edhi.

Mian Raza Rab­bani lauded the con­tri­bu­tions ren­dered by Edhi for hu­man­ity.

It is per­ti­nent to men­tion here that the Act­ing Pres­i­dent yes­ter­day met Chief Jus­tice of the Sindh High Court Sa­j­jad Ali Shah to ex­press sol­i­dar­ity with CJ SHC and his fam­ily and as­sured ev­ery pos­si­ble co­op­er­a­tion and sup­port to en­sure early re­lease of his son.—Agen­cies
