In­ter­na­tional Day against drug abuse and il­licit traf­fick­ing ob­served

LA­HORE—Drugs ad­dic­tion is harm­ful not only for the ad­dicted but also has neg­a­tive im­pact on the fab­ric of the so­ci­ety. Innocents’ com­mon peo­ple be­come its vic­tims just to taste or to get rid of cu­rios­ity, the ef­fects of such an ad­dic­tion can cause dan­ger­ous changes in the mind, body and spirit of the drug ad­dict. The most dis­turb­ing as­pect of drug ad­dic­tion is that it is reach­ing epi­demic pro­por­tions in Pak­istan nowa­days.

Con­sul­tant, Anti Drugs/Nar­cotics Cam- paign Syed Zul­fiqar Hus­sain said in his speech on the eve of Award Cer­e­mony re­gard­ing In­ter­na­tional Day against drug Abuse and Il­licit Traf­fick­ing at Ai­wan -e- Iqbal un­der the aus­pices of Drug Ad­vi­sory Train­ing Hub a project of Youth Coun­cil for Anti Nar­cotics (YOCFAN) & CDGL. Mr. Habib ur Rah­man Gil­lani Ex Sec­re­tary Zakat and Ushar Govt. of the Pun­jab, Senior An­chor Mr. Na­jam Walli, Senior Jour­nal­ist Mian Habib, Prof. Shah­naz Sat­tar, Prin­ci­pal Govt.
