Milk­men fined for sell­ing un­hy­gienic milk

RAWALPINDI—As­sis­tant Com­mis­sioner City Madiha Ja­mal on Sun­day fined milk­men for sell­ing un­hy­genic milk.

The AC car­ried raided a milk­shop of Kash­mir Group in Mo­hal­lah Raja Sul­tan and fined its owner for sell­ing milk on high prices and not meet­ing the clean­li­ness stan­dard.

Sim­i­larly, Golra, Arif, Shah­baz, Amir and Inam mlik shops were also fined on the price vi­o­la­tion.

The butch­ers, veg­etable and fruit sell­ers, and chiken shops were also fined for the vi­o­la­tion of price list.

Dur­ing the raid, AC fined to the shop­keep­ers Rs 76,000 to the vi­o­la­tors. AC warned that strict ac­tion would be taken against the prof­i­teers and said that no one would be al­lowed to cheat the pub­lic dur­ing the sa­cred month.—APP
