Anti-India protests held in Kashmir
SRINAGAR—In occupied Kashmir, an anti-India protest march was held from Partap Park to Ghanta Ghar in Srinagar, Sunday.
The protesters were carrying symbolic coffins of the innocent Kashmiris killed by Indian army-backed renegade Papa Kishtwari.
Hurriyet leaders Yasmeen Raja, Javaid Ahmad Mir and advocate Babar Qadri were among those who participated in the protest.
The protesters raised pro-freedom and anti-India slogans, on the occasion. Meanwhile, a complete shutdown was observed in Pampore area of Pulwama district against the killing of two Kashmiri youth martyred by Indian troops in the area yesterday.
All shops and business establishments were closed while traffic remained off the road.
Eight personnel of Indian paramilitary force Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were killed and around two dozen were injured after Mujahideen ambushed a CRPF convoy in Frestbal area of Pampore on Saturday.—KMS
