APHC blasts il­le­gal de­ten­tion of lead­ers

SRI­NA­GAR—In oc­cu­pied Kash­mir, the All Par­ties Hur­riyet Con­fer­ence has said that RSS-backed pup­pet regime has re­sorted to bru­tal mea­sures against Hur­riyet lead­ers and ac­tivists to weaken their com­mit­ment to the Kash­mir cause.

The APHC in a state­ment is­sued in Sri­na­gar, today, main­tained that the con­tin­ued il­le­gal de­ten­tion of APHC Sec­re­tary Gen­eral, Shab­bir Ah­mad Shah and other Hur­riyet lead­ers be­trayed the frus- them at car­ried out by tra­tion of the au­thor­i­ties. The state­ment said that the Kash­miris could never be in­tim­i­dated into sub­mis­sion through such op­pres­sive tac­tics un­leashed by In­dian army and po­lice.

Mean­while, a com­plete shut­down was ob­served in Pam­pore area of Pul­wama district against the killing of two Kash­miri Mu­jahid in an en­counter with In­dian troops in the area, yes­ter­day. All shops and busi­ness es­tab­lish­ments were ter­ror group closed while traf­fic was off the road. Eight per­son­nel of In­dian Cen­tral Re­serve Po­lice Force were also killed and around two dozens were in­jured in the en­counter.An anti-In­dia protest march was held from Par­tap Park to Ghanta Ghar in Sri­na­gar, today.

The pro­test­ers were car­ry­ing sym­bolic coffins of the in­no­cent Kash­miris killed by In­dian army-backed rene­gade Papa Kisht­wari.—KMS
