BA­HAWALPUR—Min­is­ter of State for higher ed­u­ca­tion and in­te­rior En­gi­neer Ba­ligh-ur-Rehman has said that Pun­jab Gov­ern­ment’s mod­ern and pro­gres­sive ini­tia­tive to op­er­a­tionl­ize the Front Desks at the Po­lice Sta­tions would trans­form cen­turies old ‘Thana Cul­ture’ which would meet the new re­quire­ments of com­mu­nity polic­ing.

The Front Desks would not only dis­pose of the com­plaints and griev­ances of the ci­ti­zens speed­ily but they would also pro­mote peo­ple friendly po­lice cul­ture which would fur­ther bring ci­ti­zens and po­lice close to­gether. On this oc­ca­sion Re­gional Po­lice Of­fi­cer Dr. Eh­san Sadiq; Ad­di­tional SP Ghu­lam Murtza; Con­vener Cit­i­zen Po­lice Li­ai­son Com­mit­tee Dr. Rana Muham­mad Tariq.
