UK referendum a strong call to India

Pakistan Observer - - KASHMIR -

SRINAGAR—In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyet leader Zamruda Habib commenting on the recent popular referendum held in the United Kingdom over the country’s association with the European Union said that the referendum must work as an eye-opener for India that has been sitting over the right to self-determination of the people of Kashmir for the past many decades.

Zamruda Habib in a statement issued in Srinagar stated that the said exercise was not only an enunciation of true democratic spirit and principles but also an inspiration as well as a beacon for most of the countries that wanted to do justice and live up to the spirit of democratic set-up and principles. The referendum is a clear message for the world community that the real power should vest in the wishes of their respective citizens and not otherwise, said Zamruda Habib.—KMS
