Pam­pore shuts to mourn death of ‘for­eign’ Fi­day­een

PAM­PORE, IHK—A com­plete shut­down was ob­served Mon­day in Pam­pore town and its nearby ar­eas to mourn the death of two Lashkar-e-Toiba mil­i­tants who car­ried out a fi­day­een at­tack on a CRPF con­voy on Satur­day evening at Fresta­bal in Pam­pore, killing eight troop­ers and wound­ing 22 oth­ers.

Youths who were protest­ing against the killing of the mil­i­tants clashed with gov­ern­ment forces through­out the day.—KR.
