Health­care fa­cil­i­ties

FAISAL­ABAD— Pun­jab Min­is­ter for Law Rana Sanaullah Khan on Tues­day said the Pun­jab gov­ern­ment was com­mit­ted to pro­vide best health­care fa­cil­i­ties to needy seg­ment of the so­ci­ety and in this con­nec­tion Rs 113 bil­lion had been al­lo­cated in the an­nual fis­cal bud­get. Ad­dress­ing a cer­e­mony at Gov­ern­ment Gen­eral Hos­pi­tal Sa­man­abad held un­der the aegis of Pa­tient Wel­fare So­ci­ety, he said that hos­pi­tal was be­ing ex­panded from 50 beds to 250 beds and af­ter com­ple­tion of the project it would get the sta­tus of DHQ hos­pi­tal. He said that all modern health­care fa­cil­i­ties would be en­sured in the hos­pi­tal with the co­op­er­a­tion of phi­lan­thropists. He said that spe­cial mea­sures were be­ing taken for ap­point­ment of spe­cial­ist doc­tors, avail­abil­ity of medicine and pro­vi­sion of all med­i­cal equip­ments at gov­ern­ment hospi­tals.—APP
