Faisal­abad res­i­den­tial colony de­clared il­le­gal

FAISAL­ABAD—Faisal­abad Devel­op­ment Author­ity (FDA) has de­clared ‘Gul­shan-e-Haram’ as an il­le­gal hous­ing scheme and asked the gen­eral pub­lic to not pur­chase plots in it.

Ac­cord­ing to a spokesman of the FDA, un­der Lo­cal Gov­ern­ment Or­di­nance 2001 and Devel­op­ment of Cit­i­zens Act 1976, all the hous­ing scheme de­vel­op­ers are bound to seek per­mis­sion from the FDA be­fore de­vel­op­ing any res­i­den­tial scheme, but the Gul­shan-e-Haram res­i­den­tial scheme si­t­u­ated at Chak No.222-RB Sam­mundri Road Faisal­abad was de­vel­oped with­out ful­fill­ing re­quire­ments.

The FDA also moved let­ters to Wa­ter and San­i­ta­tion Agency (WASA), Man­ager Plan­ning and De­sign­ing Faisal­abad Elec­tric Sup­ply Com­pany (FESCO) and Gen­eral Man­ager Sui North­ern Gas Pipe­lines Limited (SNGPL) for stop­page of is­su­ing wa­ter sup­ply, sew­er­age, elec­tric­ity and gas con­nec­tions in this hous­ing scheme. The FDA has also di­rected the de­vel­op­ers of the Gul­shan-e-Haram hous­ing scheme to com­plete all re­quire­ments be­fore sale any plot, spokesman added.
