Rus­sia keen to strengthen trade ties with Pakistan

KARACHI—Coun­sel Gen­eral of The Rus­sian Fed­er­a­tion Oleg N Avdeev has said that his coun­try was look­ing for­ward for strength­en­ing trade re­la­tions with Pakistan. Ad­dress­ing an Af­tar din­ner or­ga­nized by Ko­rangi As­so­ci­a­tion of Trade and In­dus­try (KATI) in his hon­our, he said that CEO TDAP S M Muneer is play­ing a vi­tal role for Pak Rus­sia busi­ness re­la­tions, said a state­ment here Tues­day.

The CEO TDAP and Petron in Chief of KATI S M Muneer said that Pak­istani ex­porters should fo­cus on Rus­sian mar­kets, as there was huge po­ten­tial for our prod­ucts and goods. Muneer urged the busi­ness com­mu­nity to visit and ex­plore Rus­sian mar­kets. “There is very friendly en­vi­ron­ment for busi­ness peo­ple and gov­ern­ment give pref­er­ence to in­vestor and busi­ness­men there” he said. Muneer also praised the Con­sul Gen­eral Avdeev for his ef­forts to built new re­la­tions of busi­ness com­mu­nity of Pakistan with Rus­sia. Pres­i­dent of KATI Zahid Saeed said that things are chang­ing in­ter­na­tion­ally, and in this per­spec­tive Pak-Rus­sia re­la­tion de­vel­op­ing in very pos­i­tive di­rec­tion, es­pe­cially since last few years.

He said that both coun­tries have great po­ten­tial of busi­ness and in­vest­ment projects. “Our leader S.M Muneer is play­ing a key role for de­vel­op­ing busi­ness re­la­tions with Rus­sia, he took del­e­ga­tions to those ar­eas, where any Pak­istani del­e­ga­tion never vis­ited be­fore” he said. For­mer Pres­i­dents, mem­ber of chief ex­ec­u­tive com­mit­tee of KATI and other rep­re­sen­ta­tives of trade and in­dus­try com­mu­nity were also present in this event.
