KARACHI—Slow Left Arm Spin­ner, Fawad Khan clinched six wickets for 19 runs of Omar As­so­ci­ates in the quar­ter­fi­nal of 4th Naya Naz­imabad Ra­mazan Cup Flood­light Cricket Tournament and won the match against Qasmi Cricket Club by 62 runs on Tues­day.

Qasmi Cricket Club chas­ing a stiff tar­get of 169 for vic­tory was spun out for 106 in the 19th over on a turn­ing track of Lawai Cricket Sta­dium.

Fawad in an in­cred­i­ble bowl­ing spell fin­ished with six for 19 runs in a deadly four overs - the best bowl­ing per­for­mance at this ground.

Af­sar Nawaz showed some re­sis­tance with a defiant knock of 32 in 35 balls laced with two sixes and one four.

Ear­lier, Nau­man An­war hit a sparkling 77 with six sixes and two bound­aries in 49 balls as Omar As­so­ci­ates bat­ting first, raced to 168 for eight in their 20 overs.—APP
