Dollar east moved in AKG Semi’s
KARACHI—Brilliant Half centuries from Pakistan’s former captain Salman Butt and wicketKeeper batsman Kamran Akmal inspired Dollar East to book their birth on a last four stage after 28-run win against Tapal cc on 29th Aga Khan Gymkhana Ramazan Festival T20 Cricket Tournament here on Monday.
Opting to bat first in a second Quarter final at the AKG Ground, Dollar East amassed an impressive tally of 212-4 in the allotted 20 overs.
Pakistan opening batsman Salman Butt struck 74 from 44 balls with eleven boundaries and two sixes; Kamran blasted eleven fours and two sixes in a quick-fire 72 off just 42 balls while Jahandad Khan made 24.
Off Spinner Zeeshan Jameel grabbed 3 wickets for 44 runs in four overs.
Tapal Cricket Club gave a strong reply and scored 186-7 in 20 overs.
Opener Nadeem Javed smashed a rapid-fire 97 runs but his excellent effort was not enough to save his team Tapal CC from a 28-run loss. Nadeem hammered 13 fours and 4 sixes made 97 of 61 balls, Asad Baig contributed 37 of 27- balls with four fours and a six.—APP
