KARACHI—Bril­liant Half cen­turies from Pakistan’s for­mer cap­tain Sal­man Butt and wick­et­Keeper bats­man Kam­ran Ak­mal in­spired Dol­lar East to book their birth on a last four stage af­ter 28-run win against Ta­pal cc on 29th Aga Khan Gymkhana Ra­mazan Fes­ti­val T20 Cricket Tournament here on Mon­day.

Opt­ing to bat first in a sec­ond Quar­ter fi­nal at the AKG Ground, Dol­lar East amassed an im­pres­sive tally of 212-4 in the al­lot­ted 20 overs.

Pakistan open­ing bats­man Sal­man Butt struck 74 from 44 balls with eleven bound­aries and two sixes; Kam­ran blasted eleven fours and two sixes in a quick-fire 72 off just 42 balls while Ja­han­dad Khan made 24.

Off Spin­ner Zee­shan Jameel grabbed 3 wickets for 44 runs in four overs.

Ta­pal Cricket Club gave a strong re­ply and scored 186-7 in 20 overs.

Opener Nadeem Javed smashed a rapid-fire 97 runs but his ex­cel­lent ef­fort was not enough to save his team Ta­pal CC from a 28-run loss. Nadeem ham­mered 13 fours and 4 sixes made 97 of 61 balls, Asad Baig con­trib­uted 37 of 27- balls with four fours and a six.—APP
