IUB ap­proves bud­get

BA­HAWALPUR—The Is­lamia Univer­sity of Ba­hawalpur has ap­proved Rs. 3191.447 mil­lion bud­gets for the fis­cal year 2016-17. The bud­get fo­cuses on fis­cal dis­ci­pline en­sur­ing qual­ity re­search, de­vel­op­ment and ser­vices re­duc­ing fi­nan­cial deficit sig­nif­i­cantly.

The bud­get was ap­proved in the Fi­nance and Plan­ning Com­mit­tee meet­ing at Ab­ba­sia Cam­pus. Prof. Dr. Qaiser Mush­taq, Vice Chan­cel­lor chaired the meet­ing. Other com­mit­tee mem­bers in­cluded Prof. Dr. Mah­mood Ah­mad, Dean Fac­ulty of Phar­macy, Dr. Javed Has­san Chan­dio, Chair­man Depart­ment of Saraiki, Dr. Shoaib An­war, Ad­di­tional Sec­re­tary, rep­re­sen­ta­tive, Higher Ed­u­ca­tion Depart­ment, Gov­ern­ment of Pun­jab, Muham­mad Rashid Za­hoor, Sec­tion Of­fi­cer, rep­re­sen­ta­tive, Sec­re­tary Fi­nance Depart­ment Pun­jab Gov­ern­ment and Fakhar Bashir, Trea­surer.

The com­mit­tee has es­ti­mated Rs.2977.205 mil­lion as in­come from var­i­ous sources with Rs. 214 mil­lion deficit while has been re­duced as com­pare to pre­vi­ous years Rs. 343 mil­lion.
