Traf­fic plan de­vised for Eid shop­ping ac­tiv­i­ties

IS­LAM­ABAD—Is­lam­abad Traf­fic Po­lice (ITP) has de­cided to de­ploy traf­fic po­lice con­tin­gents at im­por­tant places, shop­ping cen­tres and main mar­kets for Eid shop­ping ac­tiv­i­ties. Dur­ing the next two days, Eid shop­ping ac­tiv­i­ties would reach its peak in the cap­i­tal city and spe­cial traf­fic po­lice squads would be de­ployed in the var­i­ous parts of the city ac­cord­ing to the plan, ac­cord­ing to po­lice sources.

Se­nior Su­per­in­ten­dent Po­lice (Traf­fic) Is­lam­abad Ma­lik Mat­loob has is­sued a traf­fic plan, deput­ing po­lice con­tin­gents in im­por­tant places, shop­ping cen­tres and main mar­kets to en­sure a smooth flow of the traf­fic.

The SSP has also con­sti­tuted spe­cial squads to main­tain traf­fic flow in the cap­i­tal and a de­tailed de­ploy­ment plan has been is­sued to con­trol city.

He had di­rected staffers to take strict ac­tion against one-wheel­ing, rac­ing and bikes and ve­hi­cles without si­lencers.

More than 100 cops from the Is­lam­abad Traf­fic Po­lice, in­clud­ing one su­per­in­ten­dent, 3 DSPs, 11 in­spec­tors and 50 sub- in­spec­tors would per­form du­ties at im­por­tant shop­ping cen­tres from 6 p.m on­wards.

More than 20 ve­hi­cles lifters had been pro­vided to ITP’s cops while its help unit (1915) would per­form its duty round the clock. Ma­lik Mat­loob also ap­pealed to the cit­i­zens to demon­strate a re­spon­si­ble at­ti­tude and also di­rected of­fi­cials to take strict ac­tion against trans­porters who caused in­con­ve­nience for cit­i­zens.—APP traf­fic in the
