JKSM hosts function for family members of martyrs
SRINAGAR—The Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement organized a function in Srinagar, today, in honor of family members of martyrs, victims of Indian oppression, political detainees and relatives of persons subjected to custodial disappearance by Indian troops.
Hundreds of people including the parents, children and wives of martyrs, political detainees and disappeared Kashmiris attended the function, which was presided over by the JKSM Chairman, Zafar Akbar Butt.
The event started with the recitation of the holy Quran.
Leaders and activists of the party including Abdul Rauf Khan, Zulfikar Hameed, Molvi Rafiq and Rukaya Baji were present in the function.
Rich tributes were paid to the Kashmiri martyrs who had laid down their lives for the freedom of Kashmir. Those languishing in jails were also remembered.
Eid gifts and food packets were distributed among the family members of the martyrs.
Special prayers were also held for the early release of detainees and freedom of Kashmir from Indian yoke.—KMS
