Chairman, Department of Library and Information Science/Ex, Chief Librarian Punjab University Library), Raja M. Ibrahim (Library Advisor COMSATS/President Pakistan Library Association) and Fozia Hashmi (Asst. Prof. Department of Library and Information Science, Islamia University of Bahawalpur).

Speaking on this occasion speakers including Chief Librarian Central Library MUST Raja Muhammad Yasin, Deputy Chief Raja Muhammad Salim, Mrs. Tehmeena Tabassam and others paid glorious tributes to the departed souls for their lifetime services for the promotion of literacy through their best professional skills as the promoters of the trend of books reading among the students and others.

They termed the deaths of the three a great loss to the field of Library and Information Sciences (LIS) and the space created due to their sad demise would not be engulfed for a long time - since this was a big loss to the LIS profession, they concluded.

Speakers prayed for the rest of the departed souls in eternal peace and grant of fortitude to the bereaved families to bear the irreparable loss with courage.
