LAHORE—The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will be holding an all-rounders camp after Eid to find the likes of Abdul Razzaq and Azhar Mahmood.

Talking to media persons PCB official said that several players in recent times have tried to become regular allrounders but they have failed to fill the vacuum created by Abdul Razzaq and Azhar Mahmood. He said the Chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq has also underlined the need to find suitable all-rounders.

The PCB selection committee found it difficult to categorize the likes of Anwar Ali and Bilawal Bhatti as regular all-rounders.

He said the PCB cannot hope and wait for an allrounder to pop up.

“PCB wants to start grooming all-rounders. PCB has asked regional coaches to send names of players who are all-rounders, even in the Under-19 and Under-17 categories, so that all possible candidates can be given maximum chances,” he said.
