PN to de­fend mar­itime in­ter­ests of Pak­istan

KARACHI—Chief of the Naval Staff Ad­mi­ral Muham­mad Zakaullah vis­ited Naval in­stal­la­tions at Gwadar to wit­ness op­er­a­tional readi­ness of PN Units in the area and port se­cu­rity mea­sures. Upon his arrival the Ad­mi­ral was re­ceived by Com­man­der Coast Rear Ad­mi­ral Waseem Akram, said an ISPR state­ment on Fri­day.

Dur­ing his visit, Naval Chief was briefed re­gard­ing the on­go­ing op­er­a­tional ac­tiv­i­ties and as­so­ci­ated se­cu­rity as­pects at Gwadar port par­tic­u­larly with re­spect to CPEC project. The Naval Chief ex­pressed Pak­istan Navy’s re­solve to en­sure sea­ward de­fence of vi­tal mar­itime in­fra­struc­ture and pro­tec­tion of the mar­itime in­ter­ests of Pak­istan against all threats and re­it­er­ated that de­vel­op­ment of Gwadar port will be lynch­pin for the over­all suc­cess of CPEC project.

While talk­ing to the of­fi­cers and men, the Ad­mi­ral also ap­plauded their pro­fes­sion­al­ism and ded­i­ca­tion in safe­guard­ing the mar­itime fron­tiers of the coun­try.
