Jail in­mates to be in­volved in Eid fes­tiv­i­ties

FAISAL­ABAD—Fed­eral Om­buds­man Is­lam­abad Di­rec­tor In­ves­ti­ga­tion Of­fice Zaryab Musar­rat said that civil so­ci­ety should play its proac­tive role in dis­pelling the sense of de­pri­va­tion from the pris­on­ers.

Dis­tribut­ing Eid gifts among the in­mates of Borstal jail af­ter vis­it­ing district and Borstal Jail here on Fri­day, she said that on the di­rec­tive of fed­eral om­buds­man, jail re­form com­mit­tees have been con­sti­tuted across the coun­try with an ob­jec­tive to fa­cil­i­tate the pris­on­ers.

She said that ex­tra at­ten­tion should be paid to ju­ve­nile pris­on­ers for their ref­or­ma­tion on top pri­or­i­ties bases. “It is also im­per­a­tive to ed­u­cate them”, she added. She also thanked the phi­lan­thropist and in­dus­tri­al­ist for ar­rang­ing gifts for the in­mates.
