Wide­spread rains likely

IS­LAM­ABAD—Wide­spread rain-thun­der­show­ers with iso­lated heavy falls ac­com­pa­nied by strong gusty winds are ex­pected in most parts of Pun­jab, Khy­ber Pakhtunkhwa, FATA, Kash­mir and Gil­git Baltistan from Satur­day to Mon­day.

Ac­cord­ing to the Pak­istan Me­te­o­ro­log­i­cal Depart­ment (PMD), strong mon­soon cur­rents are likely to pen­e­trate in up­per parts of the coun­try in next 24 hours. A fresh west­erly wave is also ex­pected to ap­proach up­per parts of the coun­try on Satur­day.

In Pun­jab, wide­spread rain-thun­der­show­ers with iso­lated heavy falls ac­com­pa­nied by strong gusty winds are ex­pected in Is­lam­abad and Up­per Pun­jab in­clud­ing Rawalpindi, Gu­jran­wala, La­hore, Sar­godha and Faisal­abad di­vi­sions.
