Rs 350m approved for Sihala overhead bridge
ISLAMABAD—The government of Punjab has approved Rs 350 million for the construction of overhead bridge at Sihala Railway crossing where traffic daily remains clogged for hours due to trains’ movements. The commuters of Kahuta-Kashmir road and residents of Sihala and adjoining areas would soon have a sigh of relief after the completion of the project as they have been demanding it over the years.
According to an official of Planning and Development,”Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has sought feasibility report for the approval of the project and the concern department is already working on this task. He said the bridge’s length would be 16000 RFT which would ease traffic mess at the Railways crossing that reamains clogged for hours during the trains’ up and down movemnent and commuters have to go through mental agony daily.—APP
