Wide­spread rain thun­der­storm with iso­lated heavy falls likely

ISLAMABAD—Wide­spread rain/dust-thun­der­storm with iso­lated heavy falls, ac­com­pa­nied by wind­storm, are ex­pected in Pun­jab, Khaber Pakhtukhwa (KP), Kash­mir, FATA and Gil­git Baltistan dur­ing next 24 hours.

Rain­fall is ex­pected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gu­jran­wala, La­hore, Sar­godha, Faisalabad di­vi­sions, Malakand, Hazara, Pe­shawar, Mar­dan, Ko­hat, Bannu, D.I Khan di­vi­sions, Muzaf­farabad, Mir­pur, Poonch Di­vi­sions, Kur­ram, Ba­jaur, Mohmand, Khy­ber, Orakzai, North and South Agen­cies, while at scat­tered places in Multan, Ba­hawalpur di­vi­sions and Gil­git-Baltistan.

Heat low lies over North Balochistan with its trough ex­tend­ing north­east­wards. Strong mon­soon cur­rents are likely to pen­e­trate in up­per parts of the coun­try to­day. A fresh westerly wave is ex­pected to ap­proach up­per parts of the coun­try, an of­fi­cial of Met of­fice told APP.

Sim­i­larly, scat­tered rainthun­der­storm is ex-pected in Haripur, Ab­bot­tabad, Mansehra, Ko­his­tan, Malakand, Up­per Dir, Lower Dir, Swat, Shangla, Chi­tral and Bun­ner dis­tricts.—APP
