8 killed, 10 in­jured as van falls into nul­lah

RAWALAKOT—At least 8 pas­sen­gers were killed and 10 oth­ers crit­i­cally in­jured when a van plunged into a deep nul­lah at Gohi Naala near Rawalakot some 90 kilo me­ters south of here on Satur­day,

Ac­cord­ing to po­lice sources, the van was en­route to Rawalkot from Rawalpindi when its diver lost con­trol over the steer­ing and it fell into the nul­lah at Gohi Naala near Azad Pat­tan. The dead and in­jured were shifted to a nearby hospi­tal, the po­lice said.

Muzaf­far­garh: Two peo­ple were killed while another sus­tained se­ri­ous in­juries in a road ac­ci­dents in Qureshi po­lice sta­tion lim­its here on Fri­day.

Ac­cord­ing to po­lice, three peo­ple were head­ing to DG Khan by a mo­tor­cy­cle from Ghazi Ghat when a troller com­ing from the other side hit them.

As a re­sult, two peo­ple Mazhar Hus­sain (35) and Mariyam (25) died on the spot while the third rider Waseem (16) sus­tained se­ri­ous in­juries and was shifted to DHQ hospi­tal by Res­cue 1122. The in­ves­ti­ga­tion was un­der­way.—APP
