SSP or­ders in­quiry against two po­lice­men

ISLAMABAD—Se­nior Su­per­in­ten­dent of Po­lice (Op­er­a­tions) Sa­jid Kiani has or­dered in­quiry against two po­lice­men who al­legedly thrashed a hawker at Faiz­abad bus stand due to his mis­be­hav­ior with fe­male pas­sen­gers, source said.

He said that po­lice­men of Ea­gle Squad were called by the peo­ple after mis­be­hav­ior of a hawker Faqeer Muham­mad s/o Dil­dar Khan serv­ing at Faiz­abad bus stand with fe­male pas­sen­gers. Po­lice Head Con­sta­ble M. Saeed and Khan Amin in Ea­gle squad asked the hawker to be­have which led to ex­change of hot words among them.

Later, po­lice­men thrashed the hawker on the oc­ca­sion and the mat­ter was im­me­di­ately brought into the no­tice of SSP who had or­dered in­quiry into the mat­ter after sus­pend­ing the Head Con­sta­ble M. Saeed.

Both po­lice­men and hawker had been shifted to In­dus­trial area po­lice sta­tion where they were be­ing in­ves­ti­gated.—APP
