SSP orders inquiry against two policemen
ISLAMABAD—Senior Superintendent of Police (Operations) Sajid Kiani has ordered inquiry against two policemen who allegedly thrashed a hawker at Faizabad bus stand due to his misbehavior with female passengers, source said.
He said that policemen of Eagle Squad were called by the people after misbehavior of a hawker Faqeer Muhammad s/o Dildar Khan serving at Faizabad bus stand with female passengers. Police Head Constable M. Saeed and Khan Amin in Eagle squad asked the hawker to behave which led to exchange of hot words among them.
Later, policemen thrashed the hawker on the occasion and the matter was immediately brought into the notice of SSP who had ordered inquiry into the matter after suspending the Head Constable M. Saeed.
Both policemen and hawker had been shifted to Industrial area police station where they were being investigated.—APP
