Suppression will promote violence in IOK, warns Malik
Movement (JKSM) Chairman, Zafar Akbar Butt in Srinagar, today, and arrested him.
The JKSM in a statement issued in Srinagar said that police raided the residence of party chairman at around 5:00 am in the morning and took him along.
“From police station Sadar he was shifted to an unknown place,” the spokesman said.—KMS SRINAGAR—The Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik has warned India and its puppet authorities that suppressing pro-freedom movement by force will only promote violence in the territory.
Muhammad Yasin Malik addressing a huge gathering at Chrar-e-Shareef said that puppet Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti who had selectively invoked Islam to criticize the recent attacks cannot befool pro-freedom and politically-mature people of Kashmir who are aware of the fact that Mehbooba Mufti as the head of India’s Unified Command Council in Kashmir, oversees all military and paramilitary forces in Kashmir.Thousands of people who attended the gathering raised slogans in favor of liberation of Kashmir and Palestine.
“When Kashmiri youth are shot dead or tortured by Indian forces, Mehbooba Mufti, the civilian façade of India’s military control in Kashmir, conveniently chooses to forget Islamic ethics,” he said, adding that people of Jammu Kashmir would not remain silent on harassment of Muslims in Jammu division, conspiratorial designs to alter the demography of Kashmir and change the Muslim majority character of Jammu Kashmir, promotion of religious discord by constructing townships for Kashmiri Pandits, planned establishment of colonies for Indian soldiers, hideous plan to implement New Industrial Policy, and threats to religious scholars of Jammu Kashmir.—KMS
