IGP seeks peo­ple’s as­sis­tance in crack­down on crimes

KARACHI—The In­spec­tor Gen­eral of Po­lice (IGP), Sindh, A.D. Khawaja, has sought the as­sis­tance of the peace-lov­ing cit­i­zens in the drive against crimes.

In a state­ment on Satur­day, he asked them to keep an eye on ac­tiv­i­ties of any sus­pects in their ar­eas and im­me­di­ately in­form po­lice re­gard­ing any sus­pi­cious ac­tiv­ity, aban­doned ve­hi­cle or mo­tor­cy­cle, bag or par­cel.

He also asked the peo­ple that in case of any forcible re­ceipt of ‘Fi­tra’, ‘Zakat’, or chits for ‘Bhatta’ (Ex­tor­tion), in­form this to Madadgar 15, near­est po­lice sta­tion, DIG CIA, SSP CIA, Zonal DIGs, District SSPs.— APP
