PE­SHAWAR— Ad­vi­sor to Prime Min­is­ter, Engi­neer Ameer Muqam has ex­pressed grief and sor­row over the loss of pre­cious lives in flood that hit Ar­soon vil­lage of Chi­tral on Sun­day. In a mes­sage, he as­sured co­op­er­a­tion of gov­ern­ment in mit­i­gat­ing suf­fer­ings of vic­tims and di­rected for pro­vid­ing best avail­able as­sis­tance to them. Mean­while, Cen­tral Pres­i­dent of Awami Na­tional Party, As­fand­yar Wali Khan has ex­pressed pro­found grief over the loss of pre­cious lives in Chi­tral flood and rain. In a state­ment is­sued from Bacha Khan Markaz here on Sun­day, he prayed for eter­nal peace of the de­parted souls and early re­cov­ery of the in­jured. He urged pro­vin­cial author­i­ties to pro­vide re­lief and all the needed fa­cil­i­ties to vic­tims, he also di­rected party ac­tivists and of­fice bear­ers to help out af­fectees and par­tic­i­pate in re­lief work.—APP
