Se­cu­rity forces re­cover huge arms cache

ZHOB—Se­cu­rity Forces act­ing on a tip-off re­cov­ered a huge cache of arms and am­mu­ni­tion from Gul Kachh area – bor­der­ing South Waziris­tan. Act­ing on se­cret in­for­ma­tion Se­cu­rity Forces and in­tel­li­gence agency raided a house in sen­si­tive Gul Kachh area and re­cov­ered two SMGs, six guns, two grenades, three pis­tols and thou­sands rounds of am­mu­ni­tion, but no ar­rest was re­ported.

Ear­lier this month, Se­cu­rity Forces had foiled a ma­jor ter­ror bid by raid­ing a house in Murgha Kib-zai area. A sui­cide bomber had blown him-self up soon af­ter the Para mil­i­tary forces raided the house.

A huge cache of arms were also re­cov­ered dur­ing the raid. Mean­while one per­son was killed and two oth­ers in­jured in a clash over mi­nor dis­pute in Kil­lli Khuzhekzai here, Le­vies sources said on Mon­day.

Ac­cord­ing to Tehsil­dar Syed Muham­mad Man­dokhail, two groups of Man­dokhail tribe clashed over a petty is­sue in Killi Khuzhekzai. Re­sul­tantly, 28-year-old Adam Khan S/ O Ka­mal Khan Man­dokhail died while two oth­ers Ghafoor Khan and Ghu­lam Hy­der sus­tained se­ri­ous wounds in pre-dawn in­ci­dent. They were moved to DHQ civil hospi­tal.

Balochis­tan has strong tribal so­ci­ety and its his­tory is full of in­ter­tribal dis­putes, feuds and con­flicts. These dis­putes and en­mi­ties claim hun­dreds of pre­cious lives ev­ery year in the volatile prov­ince. Dis­trict and Ses­sion court sen­tenced a man to life im­pris­on­ment for the mur­der of his un­cle in 2011 and a fine of Rs. 10,000 on charges of pos­sess­ing il­le­gal arms.
