Dol­lar East reached in ti­tle de­cider clash

KARACHI—Ex­pe­ri­enced first-class cam­paigner Ja­han­dad Khan struck a daz­zling 95 to power Dol­lar East into the fi­nal of the 29th Aga Khan Gymkhana Ra­mazan Cricket Tour­na­ment with a 24 -run win over De­fend­ing cham­pion Medicame Cricket Club here on Satur­day.

The winners won the toss to bat first, and scored 176-9 in 20 overs. Dol­lar East dom­i­nated the game with their ruth­less ap­proach as the Faisalabad-based Ja­handa pro­duced a tremen­dous in­nings of 95 from 57 balls to pro­pel his side while waqas Ha­roon con­trib­uted 23 off 26 balls with on six, Tariq Ha­roon Scored quick fire 18 off just 6 ball with one four and two sixes.

Right arm and Left arm pacer Haris Ali Khan Zo­haib Shera shar­ing seven wick­ets be­tween them Haris grabbed 4-18 in only two overs while Zo­haib took 3-21 on four overs.

In re­ply Medicame cc were man­aged 153-6 in 20 overs. Dis­carded Pak­istan’s bats­man So­haib Maq­sood scored fine half cen­tury 69 off 51 balls with four fours and three sixes, Ayaz Tass­war made 29 in just 18 balls with one four and three sixes. Al-rounder Haris Ali Khan scored 19 with run a ball one four and one six.

Pak­istan’s off spin­ner Saeed Aj­mal grabbed 2-23 in 4 overs, Left Arm spin­ner Kashif Bhatti Took 2-32 in 4 overs. Later Ja­han­dad khan was the name as man of the match.

Sec­re­tary Aga Khan Youth and Sports, Board Amin Su­fyan graced the oc­ca­sion as the chief guest and dis­trib­uted the prizes in a sim­ple cer­e­mony which was at­tended by Test pace­man Mo­ham­mad Sami, Mem­ber Fin­nace AKG Al-Amin Turyani, Head Dol­lar East sports chief Zahir Ahmed Sheikh.—APP
