Atiq Es­tates reach in AKG fi­nal

KARACHI—Debu­tant Atiq Es­tates ad­vanced to the fi­nal of the 29th Aga Khan Gymkhana Ramzan Fes­ti­val Twenty-20 Cricket Tour­na­ment 2016 Tro­phy, by de­feat­ing Omar Colts by Four wicket in sec­ond semi-fi­nal here at the Aga Gymkhana Cricket Ground here.

Bat­ting first, af­ter win­ning the toss, Omar Colts was re­stricted to 147- 10 in 20 overs de­spite fine knocks from Mo­ham­mad Ikhlaq (53 off 32 balls) and Go­har Ali (30 off 29 balls). The in­nings lost mo­men­tum with pacer spin­ner Am­mad Butt took 3 wick­ets for 23 runs and Fawad Alam 2 wick­ets for 13 runs and An­war Ali 2 wick­ets 31 runs and it pulled it back for Atiq es­tates.

Atiq Es­tates in re­ply reached the tar­get 148-6 in 19.5 overs. Mo­ham­mad Waqas struck 53 off 41 balls, M.Taimoor 23 runs in 8 balls and Fawd Alam 22 off 23 balls.—APP
